UCL: Bayern Munich vs Man City

Both Man City vs Bayern Munich will be locking horn tonight.

Be noted that Saturday’s 1-1 draw with Hoffenheim was a setback for Bayern’s title charge domestically

Yes now having lost to Freiburg in their home game before that.

Then things clearly aren’t coming as easily for Tuchel’s side

Yes, as they did in his debut 4-2 win over Borussia Dortmund

Definitely surely Man City will be looking to take all three points today

Of course this Manchester City made it 10 wins on the spin with a victory over Leicester at the weekend, keeping their treble dream alive. The next week is crucial for the Citizens across three fronts, with an FA Cup semi-final at the weekend followed by their title clash with Arsenal.

While those are two decisive clashes in City’s trophy chase, Wednesday’s visit to Bayern Munich doesn’t feel quite as risky.

Now the visitors pulled off an impressive 3-0 victory against Bayern at the Etihad and they take a comfortable cushion with them to Bavaria for this clash. The German champions face an uphill battle turning things around, while they still have to contain a City side who are in stellar form.

The Early trouble for Tuchel

Thomas Tuchel has only been in charge of Bayern for five games, but already there are some issues for the former Chelsea boss. The German giants have huge expectations – which saw Julian Nagelsmann lose his job – but Tuchel has won just one of his last four games in charge.

Of curse, Tuchel needs to get his team geared up for a Champions League clash against probably the best side in Europe, knowing the gap between them is almost unassailable. Not only do they need at least three goals, they have to find a way to keep City and Erling Haaland quiet.

And now not only have City won 10 straight games, but they’ve also scored at least three times in eight of those games. City have hit 37 goals in that run, with Haaland continuing his brilliant debut season in England.
