Know that the only victory in that run was a 1-0 win over these opponents in the previous round of the cup and Jurgen Klopp will be hoping his side can take confidence from that victory into this clash.

Wolves dispensed with manager Bruno Lage last year and replaced him with Julen Lopetegui, with the former Spain and Sevilla manager steadying the ship as the Midlands side look to avoid the drop.

The number one issue for Lopetegui is the lack of goals his team have scored, netting just 12 times in 20 Premier League games, comfortably the lowest in the division.

Finding the net has been an issue for this team for a number of seasons

Surely they averaged just 37 goals across their last two full campaigns but a decrease in their defensive output has thrown them into focus. Now Wolves face a real battle to avoid the drop and their goalscoring is their primary issue.

However, finishing in the top four is now the Reds’ top priority in the league and given the impressive showings of their opponents for that achievement, they need to start picking up wins sooner rather than later.
