Robert Lewandowski is not happy with Bayern Munich’s insistence that he will not be sold this summer amid interest from Barcelona.

The Blaugrana have been heavily linked with a move for the Polish striker since it became apparent they would not be able to financially compete for the signature of Erling Haaland.

Barcelona club president Joan Laporta is keen to make a marquee signing this summer and Lewandowski fits the bill with the Catalans already in the market for a new striker.

Winter signing Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang has impressed up top in his short time at Camp Nou, but Memphis Depay has struggled to nail down a place since his arrival from Lyon last summer.

However, even though contract talks with Lewandowski have remained at an impasse, Bayern have remained firm on their stance that the 34-year-old will not be sold, with director Hasan Salihamidzic doubling down on this sentiment last week.

But according to a source Lewandowski has not taken kindly to these comments and if anything has made him want to pursue a summer exit even more.

The Bayern star now wants to test himself in a new environment and is aware that he will probably not have as many suitors next year after he turns 35.
